Donna Taylor became President of Waypoint Lighting after completing a successful career in small business consulting as well as large construction project management.
As the Associate Director of Training & Public Relations at the Texas State Small Business Development Center, Donna worked with community leaders, lenders and resource partners over a period of six years to develop training programs and growth strategies for entrepreneurs in Central Texas.
Donna's construction and project management experience includes 15+ years of project administration with the national engineering firms of Parsons Brinckerhoff and HNTB. She worked as the Contract Coordinator on the $500M expansion of the New Orleans International Airport preparing bid documents, processing subcontractor payments and managing the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program.
After moving to Austin, Donna continued working in construction and project management on several projects, most notably the $105M 183A toll road in Austin, Texas.
Stuart Taylor, CEM, CLEP
Stuart received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and an MBA from the University of New Orleans.
Stuart has held the Association of Energy Engineers' (AEE) Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification for over twenty years. With several like-minded energy professionals, Stuart became a founding board member of the Southern Louisiana Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers. Stuart continues to be actively engaged with the association as a member of the Central Texas chapter of AEE. He also holds AEE’s designations of Certified Lighting Energy Professional (CLEP). Stuart’s experience in the energy and construction industries spans over 30 years. He formed Waypoint Lighting after spending a career learning industry best practices as a supplier of electric energy, a distributor of lighting and electrical equipment, an advocate for energy efficiency and demand response, a lighting practitioner and solutions provider, an energy engineer, but primarily as a customer educator and advocate.
